Owners Sandra and Lino Pizzolanti started this venture on a simple notion, to educate the consumer about wines. Our experience as consumers was never exciting or educational.  When purchasing a wine, we would walk into a store and would look at the assortment of wines and, not knowing anything about wines, would walk away with the anxiety and uncertainty that the wine we chose would meet my expectations.  

                With the passing of years, and many evenings of wine purchasing, I said to my wife that if I was ever a wine store owner, I would do things differently.  I would research wines, learn about new techniques, become educated enough to be able to guide the customer in its wine selection. I would spend time, getting to know about the customer’s likes and dislikes; I would make suggestions based on what occasion they were having, and I would make the experience of purchasing a bottle of wine enjoyable and fun. 

                We love the process of choosing wines for our store.  We find out about the vintner, we explore the processes they use, we bring the wine in for tasting, and finally if it meets our requirements, we bring the wine in for the rest of the world to savor. Our main goal is to provide a quality wine, a great buying experience, at an affordable price.

                 We both have entrepreneurial experience in our past. Sandra in her native Cuba, and Lino both here and in his native Asti, Italy.
